Pull brief

Method: cyst placement decides the intermission; read the tunnels early. Icy Veins: plan cooldowns around the 30% Dig In window every ~2 minutes.

  • Tank-swap timing inside Apex Predator.
  • Soak groups double-dipping on Mutilate.
  • Cysts misplaced, or the spare wasted before the last wind.
  • Loose stacking in the intermission: chain knockbacks off the platform.
  • Mythic: Serpent's Fury reaching 100 rage; Virulence beams crossing players.

    100 energy, roughly every 2 minutes. Sszorak enters Dig In for 25 seconds.

Ravage and Mutilate — cones at the tank. Tank at the edge facing away; the Mutilate soak group stands in the cone.

Howling Maelstrom — stack tightly in the centre and let each gale push you into the cyst opposite its tunnel.

Healer plan

  • Ula'tek's Presence ticks every 2 seconds all fight; Method suggests a fifth healer.
  • Spike damage on Ravage and through the Apex Predator combo; Mutilate is split damage plus a 22-second DoT on the soakers.
  • Venomous Surge expiry hits the raid with distance falloff; Caustic Residue on Heroic makes anyone standing in it take 30% more.
  • Knockbacks and mid-air collisions displace people; expect to heal through movement.
Verifiedchecked Sep 2, 2026Mechanics from the dungeon journal text on Warcraft Wiki; responses from Icy Veins (updated Aug 13) and Method's Heroic guide (Aug 13). The wiki tags Apex Predator and Venomous Surge as Heroic+ while both guides treat them as the core loop on every difficulty; they are shown on every difficulty here and this note records the discrepancy. Ravage's stacking amount is 300% per the wiki and 400% per Method. A Sep 1 hotfix reduced health for smaller raids and Raging Crosswinds targets. No Holy-specific notes exist in any source.
